1999 E-mail Tournament Results
The 7th annual e-mail started on February 1, 1999. It was a smaller tournament than in previous years, with only 21 entries. Many of the top players that played in previous tournaments were either unavailable or wanted a break this year. The smaller entry meant that this yearís tournament only required two rounds rather than the three rounds of recent years. In the first round, players were divided into 3 pools, with the top 3 players from each pool advancing to Round 2. Each pool was played as a round robin with all games being played simultaneously on Richard's PBMServer). There was a 5 day per move time limit, and off-line analysis of the position was allowed.
In the results shown below, players marked with a green background progressed to the next round.
The e-mail tournament winner for 1999 was wede (Thomas Wedekind).
