2nd Annual Internet Tournament
The 2nd Annual Internet Trax Tournament started at the beginning of October with 14 players. Players were split into two pools of 7 players each with an attempt to evenly distribute the players of varying skill. A round robin tournament was then played in each pool. The top 3 players (plus ties) from each pool advanced to the finals. The remaining players also decided to hold a "Consolation" round. The results of the preliminary round are:
Group A
dan | 6 | 0 |
mel | 4 | 2 |
jinxter | 4 | 2 |
david | | 2 |
karlo | 2 | 4 |
davelunn | 1 | 5 |
chaz | 0 | 6 |
| | Group B:
dgb | 6 | 0 |
adr | 4 | 2 |
tom | 4 | 2 |
rrognlie | 3 | 3 |
ciol | 3 | 3 |
stighemmer | 1 | 5 |
kmartin | 0 | 6 |
|
The final and consolation rounds have been proceeding well, but things have slowed down a bit with the holidays rapidly approaching. The current standings follow. Where there are still games in progress, I have listed a Min and Max. This is that player's minimum and maximum possible number of wins that can be achieved based on their completed games.

Results
Well, it started in October (1994), and finally ended today (15 March 1995). The 2nd Annual Internet Trax Tournament is over. 14 people entered and were divided into 2 pools of players. Each player played every player in their pool once in a round robin style. The top 3 (plus ties) from each pool advanced to the finals. Again, a round robin was used for the final and consolation rounds.
Congratulations go to David Smith! Undefeated in the finals!
Honourable mentions also go to Donald Bailey and Dan Pless. They have been fighting it out on board C12 forever to determine 2nd place. (Easily the largest PBeM board yet played via this server with 57 moves and 133 tiles!)
